Why Junk Bucket
Junk Bucket started as a personal frustration. Like a lot of people, I have bins, storage bins, moving boxes, garage boxes, filled with stuff that I can't see into from the outside. And for years I just accepted that finding anything meant digging through all of them.
The moment it really hit me was during a move. Days and days of packing: wrapping things, labeling boxes, stacking them floor to ceiling. And the moment everything was in the truck, it was completely opaque. Where's the power drill? Which box has the router? No idea. Hours wasted digging.
I kept thinking, if I could have just snapped a photo of each box as I packed it, I would have known exactly what was where. That's the whole idea. Snap a photo, let AI figure out what's in it, and search later in seconds.
Now for the bins I have in storage, I know exactly where everything is. That's what Junk Bucket does.
