When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and Google profile photo. We store your name and email to identify your account and communicate with you.
Storage Data
We store the content you create in Junk Bucket: bin labels, item descriptions, and photos you upload. This data is associated with your account and stored in Google Firebase.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you use the Service, including scan counts and plan status, to enforce plan limits and improve the Service.
Payment Information
If you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We receive a customer ID and transaction confirmation from Stripe. We do not receive or store your full credit card number.
Communications
If you contact us via email, we retain that correspondence to respond to your inquiry.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate your account and enforce plan limits
- Process payments and send transactional emails (plan confirmations, promo codes)
- Respond to your support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

4. AI Processing
When you use AI scanning features, photos you submit are sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis. Google processes this data in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We may also process item data to improve and personalize the Service.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. Junk Bucket is designed for organizing household storage — please do not upload sensitive personal documents, financial records, government-issued IDs, or other private materials.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page — this permanently removes your account and all associated data. We will complete the deletion within a reasonable time, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data
