By creating an account or using Junk Bucket (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by Junk Bucket (myjunkbucket.com) (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms govern your access to and use of myjunkbucket.com and any related applications.

2. Description of Service

Junk Bucket is a household storage organization tool that allows you to:

  • Catalog bins, boxes, and storage containers using numbered labels
  • Upload photos and use AI-powered item detection to identify contents
  • Search and retrieve stored item information

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@myjunkbucket.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We currently support sign-in via Google OAuth. You agree to comply with Google's Terms of Service as they relate to your Google account.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

Free Plan

A free tier is available with limited functionality. AI-powered scanning is not available on the free plan.

Paid Plans

Paid plans are offered on a fixed-term basis (not auto-renewing subscriptions unless explicitly stated). Pricing is displayed at the time of purchase.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We do not store your payment card information.

Promo Codes

We may issue promotional codes that grant temporary or discounted access. Promo codes are non-transferable, cannot be combined, and have no cash value.

Refunds

All sales are final unless otherwise required by applicable law. If you have a billing concern, contact us at info@myjunkbucket.com.

Junk Bucket uses Google Gemini AI to analyze photos you upload and identify items. By using AI scanning features, you acknowledge:

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service (photos, labels, item descriptions). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process that content solely to provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you submit. Do not upload content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes third-party rights.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent any access controls, rate limits, or subscription restrictions
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the Service
  • Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code
  • Share your account credentials with others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Service Availability

We provide the Service on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may modify or discontinue features at any time.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, your account and all associated data will be permanently removed.

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, with or without notice.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Contra Costa County, California.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice in the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
